Job Summary
The Opportunity
A leading independent day school in the North West is seeking an enthusiastic and talented Science Teacher to join its well-established and high-performing Science faculty. This is a full-time permanent position starting in January 2026 teaching across Key Stages 35. The post would suit a specialist in Biology Chemistry or Physics who is eager to contribute to an academically ambitious and forward-looking department.

The successful candidate will:
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification (QTS PGCE or equivalent)
- Have a strong academic background in a science discipline with the ability to teach at GCSE and ideally A-Level

The Role in More Detail
You will teach Science across the age range guiding students through both theoretical and practical study and preparing them for external examinations at GCSE and A-Level. Lessons will emphasise enquiry critical thinking and application of knowledge through experimentation and analysis.
In addition to classroom teaching you will have the opportunity to contribute to departmental planning and development help coordinate enrichment activities such as science fairs or STEM clubs and take part in trips and visits that broaden students scientific understanding.
