Position Overview
Great Basin Staffing LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager Mission Critical to manage large-scale construction projects in high-stakes environments such as data centers clean rooms semiconductor facilities or advanced industrial infrastructure. Projects typically range from $80 million to $500 million in value and require precision execution complex coordination and rapid speed-to-market delivery.
This position is based in Reno NV with no travel required for this assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management and Execution
Oversee all phases of project lifecycle: estimating preconstruction budgeting procurement scheduling construction and closeout
Lead project delivery with a focus on accuracy budget control quality and speed
Coordinate with field teams subcontractors and suppliers to ensure efficient execution
Monitor financial health of projects: forecasting change orders cost tracking and reporting
Review and manage contracts subcontracts and vendor agreements
Enforce safety protocols and compliance with jobsite and corporate standards
Internal and External Communication
Lead client meetings and presentations
Act as primary point of contact between client stakeholders internal departments and field teams
Communicate technical and project updates clearly and frequently
Conduct kickoff meetings and weekly project status check-ins
Team Coordination and Leadership
Coordinate internal departments including Engineering Purchasing Accounting and Field Operations
Provide leadership across project teams and support staff
Mentor junior team members and help develop internal best practices
Support recruiting and talent development for future project management staff
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Construction Management Architectural Engineering or related field (preferred)
5 years of experience managing commercial or industrial HVAC/MEP projects over $20 million
Demonstrated ability to manage fast-paced mission critical projects involving complex infrastructure
Familiarity with cost-reimbursable and GMP contracts including cost-of-work tracking and billable rates
Strong understanding of construction scheduling budgeting submittals RFIs and procurement
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Project PowerPoint)
Experience with construction management platforms such as Bluebeam Smartsheet Box IFS BidTracer or JDE
Preferred Skills and Competencies
Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making under pressure
High level of initiative integrity and accountability
Capable of building trust with internal teams and client stakeholders
Ability to manage multiple scopes and critical timelines simultaneously
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Previous experience in semiconductor data center or mission critical infrastructure preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform site walks and inspections; sit stand and walk for extended periods
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
Valid drivers license required for site access and transportation between facilities
Regular and reliable attendance required
Availability for occasional weekend work depending on project demands
