About the Company

Flux Syndicate started writing business on 1 January 2023. It is sponsored by Acrisure the worlds fastest growing insurance group and was set up to give capital providers direct access to the Acrisure distribution network.

Acrisure is a Global Fintech Financial services leader and among the worlds top 10 insurance brokerage firms. Acrisure has grown from $38 million to more than $3 billion in revenue since 2013 and deploys the best of Human and Artificial Intelligence at scale to reimagine financial service product distribution. As of October 2021 Acrisure employed over 11000 employees across 45 US states and eight countries.

Acrisure annually place $35bn of insurance business globally. The aim is for Flux to access and write the most profitable business in the Acrisure network.

Flux wrote 110m of business inm in 2024 and is on track to write 250m in 2025. We expected the syndicate to grow to annual GWP in excess of $1bn. The majority of business is Casualty business (50%) Specialty business (20%) Property (15%) and Financial and Professional Lines (15%).

Flux runs a lean structure and outsources many back-office responsibilities to a turn-key provider (Asta).

How youll contribute:

A unique opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take a step up. Flux Syndicate is bringing on board an exceptional individual with insurance experience who has the capability to join the syndicates Operational leadership team. You will be working closely alongside the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Operations to help lead the Operational side of the business. As the Syndicate grows there will be an opportunity for accelerated career progression for the successful incumbent.

The current leadership team - Richard Boyd (Chief Underwriting Officer) and Luke Thomas (Chief Operating Officer) are focused on:

Developing and executing the strategy to grow the business to $1bn. The vast majority of this growth will come from US SME business.
Executing the short-term plan building a high-quality book and continuing to deliver strong returns to Fluxs investors. This includes underwriting pricing operations exposure management technology and working with Asta on other functional areas.
Design and build the technology to deliver this strategy.

Requirements

MI design production and reporting
Strong insurance knowledge (Lloyds preferable)
Data design capture and augmentation
IT and systems design and development
Business planning
Credit Control
Risk & Compliance
Work directly with experienced market leaders to learn and develop
Exposure to all functions of a Lloyds syndicate. Unique opportunity to develop a broad experience
