The Team
The Facilities and Administrative Services (FAS) team plays an important role in supporting the Public Guardian and Trustees work by providing essential administrative and facilities services across the organization. The team ensures that offices equipment and resources are managed effectively so staff can focus on serving clients. This is a collaborative and inclusive team that values respect cultural safety and equity and is committed to creating a positive and supportive workplace where diverse perspectives are welcomed.

The Role
This role provides a wide range of administrative facilities and records management support to clients staff and the public. The position helps ensure that correspondence legal documents and financial assets are managed securely and accurately while also supporting reception office operations and records management services. With a focus on service excellence inclusion and respect this role contributes to creating a safe accessible and culturally responsive environment where the diverse needs of clients and colleagues are supported

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Secondary school graduation or equivalent (e.g. GED).
  • Experience providing customer or client service carrying out legal administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.
  • Experience/training working with Microsoft Office and data entry.


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Completed office administration course(s).
  • Experience working directly or in person with vulnerable populations (e.g. vulnerable adults persons with disabilities children heirs and beneficiaries and individuals with language behavioural and/or cognitive barriers).
  • Applicants who self-identify as First Nations Métis or Inuit.

About this Position:
This is a temporary opportunity until 03/31/2026. This position may be extended or become permanent.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
This position has full time on-site requirements.
A Criminal Record Review Act Check (CRRA) and Enhanced Security Screening will be required.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
