About StoneShield
StoneShield Engineering based in Castelo Branco Portugal was acquired by Lear Corporation in early 2025. The plant specializes in advanced automation systems for the wire-harness industry including robotics automated taping and high-voltage harness assembly. This acquisition strengthens Lears E-Systems business and supports the expansion of automation capabilities across Europe.
Mission
Develop and improve industrial automation software to ensure safety quality and high performance in production systems.
Key Responsibilities
Define and validate software specifications
Program PLCs robots HMIs and vision systems
Configure actuators safety devices databases remote access and backups
Maintain software change logs and version control
Test validate and support system integration
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related field
PLC & robot programming experience (required)
Knowledge of Visual C# / C (preferred)
Fluent in Portuguese and English
Industrial automation experience (preferred)
Willingness to travel occasionally
Soft Skills
Proactive precise organized and team-oriented
