About the role

The Breast Care Services Outpatient Department is a dynamic busy challenging and rewarding place to work.

  • Specialised department as a member of the multidisciplinary team with a primary focus to provide excellent patient care.
  • work autonomously in nurse-led clinics once experience is gained.
  • Focus on patient education and support.
  • Assistance with outpatient clinics
  • Quality Improvement of the service
  • Ongoing surveillance of our Breast Care patients who have had a diagnosis of Cancer and coordination of their care
  • Working with our multi-professional team and other related breast care services to ensure best outcomes for our Southern population
  • Working towards nurse led clinics
  • This is a Monday to Friday position.


Whilst you are in this role you will be supported through completion of a Post-Graduate qualification in Breast Care and will be working alongside a supportive team who truly value point of contact education.

About you

We are looking for a caring and experienced Registered Nurse with the following skills and background:

  • Hold a current APC for New Zealand
  • Organised with good computer literacy
  • Must already hold work rights we are unable to offer visa sponsorship
  • A Surgical background would be beneficial
  • Excellent communication both verbal and written

Salary range

This role belongs to the expired NZNO Collective Agreement and falls between the step 1 ($116040 p.a) and Step 3 ($127674 p.a prorata) of the Designated Senior Nurse scale Grade 2.
