The role:
We are looking for an experienced designerto carry out fibreoptic broadband designsin accordance withproject standards and technical requirements for a variety of clients.
Key focus areasinclude;
- Scope and design fibre projects including detailed drawings and civil instruction
- Prepare detailed instruction of the outside plantcomponentof the network including but not limited to Fibre Distribution Hub cabinet areas and subdivisions
- Provide provisioning designs for Residential and Commercial developments
- Design inside plant components including frames and terminals to create network designs typicallylocatedwithin a network site
- Produces Bill of Materials and quotes for all projects/designs
- Always deliver excellent customer service
- Liaise with Project Managers to report resolve issues and process/system improvements
- Liaise with the client developers surveyors utilities councils subcontractors and suppliers
- Provide higher level concept designsadditionalto the scope to maximise the value of the design for future growth
- Enhance the reputation and service delivery outputs produced forCivtecsclients
What you bring:
Strong attention to details andability to accurately interpret paper as-built drawings and fibre splice diagrams.
- Sound understanding of fibre-optic network design preferably Enable architecture
- Familiar with Outside Plant (OSP) design standards
- Relevant design qualification or experience using design software such as AutoCAD
- Knowledge of GIStools and processes like GTECHNetMapor ArcGIS
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Full drivers licence
