Reporting to the Senior Manager HR Services the Senior Employee Relations Partner is an individual contributor role within a centralized Employee Relations (ER) function supporting the U.S. and Canada Regions. This role serves as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert collaborating closely with Corporate and Field HR Business Partners HR Centers of Expertise and the Legal department to manage complex employee relations matters.

The incumbent ensures compliance with employment laws promotes fairness mitigates risk and upholds Robert Halfs culture and values. Key responsibilities include conducting workplace investigations managing accommodation requests in accordance with federal and state regulations analyzing case data to identify trends and delivering training on ER topics.

What Youll Do

Employee Relations Case Management

  • Exercise sound judgment and critical thinking to develop solutions and recommendations during internal investigations. Manage individual cases and mentor peers.

  • Apply deep knowledge of HR programs and policies to ensure consistency and quality in investigations. Clearly communicate company policies and help employees understand potential violations and available resources.

  • Use discretion and professionalism to address and resolve sensitive issues reinforcing trust in the companys approach to HR investigations.

  • Partner with HR Business Partners and business leaders to develop and implement ER strategies that foster a positive and inclusive work environment.

  • Stay current on HR best practices procedures and applicable labor laws.

  • Resolve sensitive employee relations matters in alignment with company policies and legal requirements. Investigate and address employee concerns identify root causes and escalate when appropriate.

  • Conduct thorough investigations using effective techniques and ensure accurate documentation of findings.

  • Gather and analyze relevant information including employee interviews and escalate issues to appropriate stakeholders when necessary.

  • Summarize complex investigations and provide well-reasoned recommendations to the Legal department.

  • Collaborate with district leaders field HR Business Partners and Legal to ensure comprehensive case management. Follow up with leadership on action plans and training as needed.

  • Design and deliver Employee Relations training sessions for employees and leaders.

Workplace Accommodations

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on ADA compliance ensuring all accommodation requests are handled in accordance with federal state and local laws.

  • Manage the end-to-end ADA accommodation process including intake documentation interactive dialogue and implementation of reasonable accommodations.

  • Engage in timely and confidential communication with employees managers and healthcare providers to assess accommodation needs and determine appropriate solutions.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of all accommodation requests and outcomes in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement accommodations effectively.

  • Provide training and guidance on ADA compliance and best practices in supporting employees with disabilities.

HR Solutions Center

  • Serve as backup support for the HR Solutions Center answering incoming HR-related questions and providing guidance as needed.

  • Act as backup for employee complaints and employee safety concerns. Demonstrate patience and professionalism while obtaining information to follow up on the matter.

  • Handle employee safety concerns with calmness providing guidance resources and escalating as appropriate.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyze quarterly reports on Employee Relations and ADA activity.

  • Review findings with HR Business Partners and identify trends and future ER initiatives.

  • Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on ER activities and outcomes.

Policy & Training

  • Interpret and apply HR policies procedures and employment laws.

  • Support employees in understanding workplace policies and resolving concerns.

  • Designs and delivers employee relations training to equip leaders with knowledge to effectively handle workplace issues and ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws.

What Youll Need

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or related field preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of HR experience preferably as an HR Generalist HR Business Partner or Employee Relations Partner.

  • At least 5 years of experience gathering researching analyzing and resolving complex employee relations issues (including behavioral performance and policy violations).

  • Strong knowledge of Federal employment and labor laws; knowledge of California Employment and Labor Laws preferred.

  • Solid understanding of HR best practices with ability to collaborate and share best practices with key partners (leaders HRBPs Legal).

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrixed organization is a plus.

  • Key skills needed: Business Acumen Change Management Data Driven Decision Making Collaboration and Influencing Coaching Adaptability and Agility.

Preferred Certifications

  • SHRM-SCP SPHR/PHR or equivalent certifications.

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

$94000.00 - $142000.00
