Data Collection: 9/17/2025 Unit Information: Heart Telemetry (dept 629) Location: Corpus Christi Medical Center Bay Area Address: 7101 S. Padre Island Dr Corpus Christi TX 78412 Floor: 4th Building: Bay Area Heart Hospital General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Number of Beds - 25 Number of Staff 40 Type of staff: o Day Shift 1 free charge 1 UC 2 PCTs 5 RNs o Night Shift 5 RNS 1 PCT Patient Ratios 6:1 sometimes 5:1 Type of equipment Baxter IV Pumps KCI wound vacs SCD pumps EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: (Travel RNs local CNAs and sitters) Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. BLS ACLS Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first. Meditech experience Telemetry experience List typical procedures performed on unit(s): In addition to general med/surg competencies it is preferred that applicants can o Manage chest tubes o Manage non-titrated Cardizem and Amiodorone drips o Manage weight-based heparin drips Dress Code: Include requirements but most of all not acceptable attire. Scrub Color - Royal blue Unit Guidelines/Policies: Please feel free to attach unit policies and guidelines.
