Registered Nurse- Labor & Delivery (Night Shift) Location: Frisco TX 75035
Shift: 12-hr Nights 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Labor & Delivery unit. As an RN you will play a vital role in providing compassionate high-quality care to expectant mothers and their newborns. You will be responsible for patient assessments planning and implementing care strategies and evaluating outcomes in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive assessments of maternal and fetal health.
- Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Monitor patients throughout labor and delivery recognizing and responding to any complications.
- Communicate effectively with patients and families to provide education and emotional support.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Delegate tasks appropriately to team members and provide supervision as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Uphold safety effectiveness and efficiency in all aspects of patient care delivery.
- Contribute to a positive team environment mentoring peers and supporting unit goals.
Key Success Factors:
- Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards care procedures and patient safety.
- Understanding of applicable nursing laws regulations and hospital protocols.
- Familiarity with labor and delivery practices fetal monitoring and postpartum care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with diverse patient populations and team members.
- Ability to think critically solve problems and remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to ethical nursing practice and patient confidentiality.
- Competency with basic computer systems including EMR Microsoft Office and scheduling tools.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors in Nursing).
- Active RN license in the State of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
- Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent full-time experience in Labor & Delivery. Mother/Baby experience is a plus.
