Registered Nurse ICU

We are seeking for an ICU Registered Nurse for a low-acuity Med-Surg ICU on night shift. This position is open to nurses with a minimum of one year of ICU experience including first-time travelers. The nurse must be able to work independently and function as charge nurse when needed as the unit may be staffed with a single RN during certain shifts.

• Provide direct patient care in a low-acuity Med-Surg ICU setting

• Manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:3

• Work independently and serve as charge nurse when required

• Monitor and manage ventilated and critically ill patients

• Administer and titrate IV medications including cardiac vasoactive sedation and emergency drips

• Perform central line PICC line arterial line and port care

• Manage respiratory therapies including ventilators BiPAP CPAP HFNC and suctioning

• Interpret ABGs cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data

• Administer blood products and manage surgical wounds drains and wound vacs

• Accurately document patient care using Epic EMR

• Follow infection control isolation precautions and PPE guidelines

• Minimum 1 year ICU experience

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Comfortable acting as charge nurse in a low-acuity ICU

• Active BLS ACLS and PALS certifications

• Weekend availability required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule)

• Night shift availability required

• No floating and no on-call requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) program

• Minimum of 1 year ICU experience required

• First-time travelers accepted

• Charge nurse experience preferred but not required

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

• IV therapy and advanced IV access

• Central line PICC line arterial line and port management

• Ventilator management and respiratory care

• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation

• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips

• Continuous IV sedation and neuromuscular blockade

• Emergency medication administration

• Blood product administration

• Management of respiratory failure pulmonary embolism renal failure and pulmonary edema

• IV insulin protocols

• Surgical wound drain and wound vac management

• Epic EMR documentation
