About the Role
We are looking for a results-driven Trade Marketing Manager to strengthen the companys brand presence across retail wholesale and distribution channels. The role will focus on developing and executing trade marketing strategies that drive sales performance enhance visibility and build strong trade partnerships. The ideal candidate must bring solid FMCG experience with a strong advantage for those with liquor industry knowledge and must be Kenyan.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute trade marketing strategies that align with brand and sales objectives.
- Plan and manage promotions in-store activations and merchandising campaigns to increase sales and visibility.
- Collaborate with the sales team to design trade programs and incentives tailored to key accounts and distributors.
- Monitor and evaluate trade marketing activities to measure ROI and effectiveness.
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) materials displays and trade communication to ensure brand consistency.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor execution competitor activities and trade opportunities.
- Build strong relationships with distributors retailers and other trade partners to strengthen market positioning.
- Manage budgets effectively ensuring cost efficiency and high-impact activations.
- Lead and mentor a team of trade marketing representatives to ensure flawless execution in the field.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must be Kenyan.
- Bachelors degree in Marketing Business or related field.
- Proven experience in trade marketing within FMCG with a strong preference for liquor/beverage sector.
- Strong understanding of distribution channels retail dynamics and consumer behaviour in the Kenyan market.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate market data into actionable strategies.
- Proficiency in trade marketing tools CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
