Job Description
About you:
You are a Data Engineer who enjoys building reliable scalable data platforms that make an impact. You thrive in environments where you can design end-to-end solutions apply software engineering best practices and keep growing your technical craft in the cloud.
You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:
- 5 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience.
- Advanced SQL and database fundamentals.
- Python for data pipelines and automation.
- Cloud experience with AWS Azure or GCP (core data services).
- Data modeling (dimensional performance-optimized).
- Experience with orchestration tools (Airflow Dagster Prefect).
- Terraform/CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
Nice to Have:
- Docker/Kubernetes for containerized data solutions.
- Apache Spark or other distributed data processing frameworks.
- Kafka Kinesis Pub/Sub for streaming pipelines.
You will be accountable for the following responsibilities:
- Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines from multiple data sources (APIs DBs streams files).
- Develop and optimize cloud data warehouses and data lakes (Snowflake BigQuery Redshift etc.).
- Apply software engineering best practices: version control CI/CD testing automation Infrastructure as Code.
- Implement observability in data pipelines (logging monitoring alerting).
