About Us
Our client is a leading constructor of mission-critical facilities specializing in the development and construction of state-of-the-art data centers. As we expand our footprint across the high-growth markets of Southeast Asia we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Financial Controller to lead our financial operations and drive strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Control & Reporting:
- Establish and maintain a robust financial control environment across all SEA entities ensuring compliance with group policies IFRS and local statutory requirements.
- Oversee the consolidation of financial results for the SEA region delivering timely and accurate monthly quarterly and annual management reports.
- Ensure accurate project accounting including revenue recognition (percentage-of-completion method) cost control WIP reporting and profitability analysis for each data center project.
2. Treasury & Cash Flow Management:
- Manage regional cash flow working capital and financing requirements for ongoing construction projects.
- Oversee intercompany funding foreign exchange exposure and banking relationships in the region.
- Implement and monitor stringent controls over project-related expenditures.
3. Tax Compliance & Audit:
- Ensure full compliance with all local tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions working closely with external advisors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external audits ensuring a clean and efficient audit process.
- Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive finance experience with at least 3 years in a senior financial leadership role.
- It is best to have extensive experience in the construction or engineering industry with specific expertise in the accounting for large-scale complex projects.
- Preferably with verifiable professional work experience in the following regions: Hong Kong Thailand Vietnam Indonesia or the UAE/Dubai.
- Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
