Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager Crew Scheduling will be responsible for supporting the daily crew scheduling operations ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks as applicable company policies and operational requirements. This role involves planning monitoring and managing crew rosters to optimize productivity ensure flight safety and maintain high crew satisfaction levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Scheduling & Planning: Support in building publishing and monitoring crew rosters in line with regulatory duty-time limitations (FDTL) contractual obligations and operational efficiency. Ensure real-time monitoring and adjustment of crew rosters to meet last-minute operational changes disruptions or irregularities. Coordinate positioning standby duties and crew reserves to optimize utilization and cost efficiency.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to Regulatory compliance and company policies related to crew scheduling and FDTL compliance. Monitor fatigue management and report potential non-compliance issues.
- People & Coordination: Act as a point of contact between crew scheduling IOCC fleet office inflight services and other operational stakeholders. Provide crew with clarity on schedules resolve rostering queries and address concerns related to duty patterns. Support Manager / Deputy GM / General Manager in managing the crew scheduling teams day-to-day activities.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports on compliance and disruption handling. Analyze roster efficiency and recommend improvements for cost-effectiveness productivity and crew work-life balance.
- System & Process Management: Assist in maintaining and updating crew scheduling software and tools. Support in developing SOPs process improvements and automation initiatives. Provide training and mentoring to scheduling officers and junior team members.
Required Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of crew scheduling tools Crew Manager/Crew Planner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work under pressure manage disruptions and make quick operational decisions.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and 24x7 operational environments.
Good to have :
- Relevant experience in Airline Industry Preferably with Flight Ops. Documentation Compliance Standards Quality Assurance Quality Control Section.
- Experience with Document Management Systemswill bepreferred.
