Ecco was born as an independent press in 1971 and in 1999 became an imprint of HarperCollins. Today Ecco publishes literary fiction and general nonfiction to poetry cookbooks and literature in translation by authors including Nobel Laureates Pulitzer Prize winners and National Book Award recipients among others such as José Andrés Margaret Atwood Anthony Bourdain Charles Bukowski Nicole Chung Kathleen Collins Patrick deWitt Deborah Eisenberg Louise Glück Kathleen Hanna Cristina Henríquez Juhea Kim Jonathan Lethem Imani Perry Patti Smith Cynthia DAprix Sweeney Natasha Trethewey Shelby Van Pelt and Kevin Wilson.
Responsibilities
- Design social media graphics and advertisements using Canva
- Assist in building content for frontlist and backlist social media campaigns
- Research audiences and build influencer lists
- Optimize metadata and marketing copy
- Assemble materials for major sales meetings and award submissions
- Fulfill mailings and giveaways as needed
Qualifications
- Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2026 or 2027 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors recent graduates masters students or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience.
- Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week Monday through Thursday from June 8 to August 13 2026 at our New York City office. This internship is compensated at a rate of $18 per hour.
