This is a remote position.
Schedule:
- Minimum 20 hours per week
- Monday Wednesday Friday 9 AM - 5 PM
- Client Timezone: Australian Eastern Time (Melbourne)
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile accounts in Xero for incoming payments and transactions
- Input and register bills from suppliers into Xero accounting system
- Perform regular account reconciliation to keep financial records current and accurate
- Handle payroll processing and related administrative tasks (potential future responsibility)
- Respond to internal staff inquiries related to bookkeeping and financial matters
- Manage ad hoc administrative tasks as they arise to support business operations
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards
Scope:
- Fixed schedule availability during agreed-upon hours
- Dedicated focus on clients business during allocated time periods
- Month-to-month contract arrangement with flexibility for both parties
- Remote work arrangement with Australian time zone alignment preferred
- Immediate start available following successful interview process
Requirements:
- Proven experience with Xero accounting software
- Strong bookkeeping background with knowledge of standard accounting practices
- Experience with accounts reconciliation and bill processing
- Ability to handle payroll processing (preferred)
- Strong communication skills for responding to internal inquiries
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
