As a QA Engineer (Manual and Automation) you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications through rigorous testing. This role combines manual testing techniques with automated testing strategies to identify document and track defects ensuring the final product meets both functional and non-functional requirements.
Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain automated test scripts for web applications with a strong preference for Playwright.
Execute manual testing (functional regression exploratory smoke UAT) when automation is not applicable or during early development cycles.
Collaborate with Developers Product Owners and QA to understand requirements clarify acceptance criteria and define test strategies.
Identify and prioritize test cases for automation to maximize coverage and efficiency.
Implement best practices for test automation (modularity scalability reusability maintainability).
Troubleshoot debug and optimize automation scripts to ensure reliable execution.
Analyze test results report defects in a tracking system (e.g. Jira) and follow up until resolution.
Participate in code reviews for automation scripts and contribute to improving QA standards and processes.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests.
Stay current with QA methodologies Playwright advancements and emerging automation practices.
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong background in Automation and solid exposure to Manual testing.
Proven hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred) for web automation.
Strong programming skills in a scripting or programming language (e.g. TypeScript/JavaScript Java Python).
Good knowledge of manual testing methodologies test case design and defect life cycle.
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills able to work independently or within a team.
A continuous learner with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
Experience with REST Assured for API testing or similar frameworks. (Extra)
