Senior Helpers
is seeking a Care Team Manager for our Cypress location serving the Northern Orange County area. Our Care Team Manager (CTM) will be responsible for managing and developing Caregivers for Senior Helpers within the franchise territory. This will include caregiver recruiting hiring recognition programs behavior correction and other duties as required. Experience managing and communicating with people from all backgrounds is vital for success in this role but we believe that technical and day-to-day operational skills can be taught when empathy and integrity are present.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct all aspects of caregiver on-boarding orientations HR on-boarding DocuSign Management.
  • Supervision and when necessary discipline of the caregivers.
  • Overall management of the caregivers including development and implementation of caregiver training programs in collaboration with the owners and implementation and dissemination of the Occurrence Policy.
  • Conduct bi-monthly site checks of each caregiver to ensure care plans are being implemented correctly policies and procedures are adhered to and all job duties are performed in a manner that is satisfactory and meets the Senior Helpers brand expectations.
  • Create morale-building recognition programs for the caregivers such as Caregiver of the Month acknowledgments of high-level performances and training completions (already in place).
  • Review daily logs and clock-ins/clock outs in WellSky bi-weekly to ensure that each caregiver is following the care plan and that lost hours are identified.
  • Develop and disseminate caregiver newsletter/manage the Caregiver Coordinator to do so (TBD).
  • Manage the caregiver contact board.
  • Communicate all new hires terminations and inactive employees to scheduler for input into WellSky.
  • Assist with all caregiver call outs late arrivals early departures and refusals of assignments; takes appropriate action based on the Occurrence Policy.
  • Work with owners to hire for the void; run ads accordingly.
  • Ensure that applicants have been properly screened and that orientation/hiring sessions are comprehensive and conducted for all hires (or manages the HR Coordinator (Steven) to do this.
  • In concert with the owners responsible for ensuring appropriate matching and placement of caregivers with clients and ensuring scheduling is done for optimum gross profit margin.
  • Interviewing caregivers via phone and in-person final interviews.
  • Utilization of Life Profile - Assessments and re-assessments.
  • Implementation of the Senior Gems program.
  • Responsible for the overall well-being of caregiver schedule (WellSky).
  • Oversee the virtual recruiter virtual scheduler.
  • Other duties as assigned by owners.

Successful Candidates Must Have:
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of two years experience managing employees preferably in a care setting.
  • Minimum of six months experience in an HR role.
  • Must understand KPIs and be comfortable with numbers.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to prioritize in a changing environment.
  • Possess exceptional phone and follow-up skills with prospects clients and client families.
  • Proactive problem prevention and issue resolution leadership ability.
  • Ability to visit clients homes in the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel Internet and Outlook required.
  • Ability to learn other software programs quickly.
  • Strong verbal communication skills especially using the telephone.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Must be willing to take calls during off hours.
  • Ability to pass background check through state of CA.
