Job Description

Position: Finance Controller
Location : Chennai (TN)
Qualification : Must be CA Qualified with 15 Yrs of relevant Exp (Suitably 20 Yrs Exp)

Job Description :

This position will be responsible for ensuring that the financial practices are compliant with relevant accounting and that the financial information is timely accurate complete. The responsibility for periodic preparation and audit of the financial accounts lies with the Financial Controller. The individual will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations ensuring accuracy in recording financial transactions compliance with regulations publishing financial statements analyzing financial data and coordinating auditing processes.

Requirements

Finance Operations

a. Manage and lead teams delivering all Procure-to-Pay Order-to-Cash and Record-toReport processes across the organization
b. Provide technical expertise and mentorship for the end-to-end PTP OTC and RTR functions
c. Ensure timely payroll processing in line with the set processes and controls
d. Implement the responsibility and accountability for a strong controls culture and framework to ensure compliance with the Finance processes and policies
e. Ensure that the transactions are performed as per the defined guidelines and in line with the set controls
f. Own the month close process. Ensure timelines for opening and closing of financial period remain sacrosanct and financial information is accurately captured and preserved in the books
g. Ensure audited financial statements and schedules are prepared and published accurately and on time and all statutory reporting standards and guidelines are followed
h. Ensure on time closure of internal/statutory audits.

People Management

a. Provide strong inspirational leadership recruiting building and developing a high performing Finance Operations team
b. Ensure effective people management and development of the team including: staffing & selection integration of new staff to the teams providing feedback and managing people issues build a strong team culture
c. Perform effective employee development performance management through monitoring of team and individual KPIs determination of team s development requirements

Transformation and Improvement Project

a. On an ongoing basis undertake digitization and process improvement initiatives in coordination with the Finance Digital Lead. b. As part of the knowledge management process ensure that all new knowledge/ improvements are documented and added to SOPs.
