Role & Responsibilities :
- Conduct policy regulatory and economic research across the energy storage electric mobility and green hydrogen sectors to identify opportunities for market development and investment.
- Undertake financial and budget analysis of central and state-level programs (such as FAME PLI Green Hydrogen Mission and grid modernization schemes) to assess fiscal impact budget allocation trends and investment flows.
- Carry out cost-benefit techno-economic and tariff impact assessments for clean technologies including battery storage EV charging infrastructure and hydrogen production and storage projects.
- Evaluate public and private financing mechanisms such as PPP models blended finance carbon credit trading and green bonds to enable large-scale energy transition investments.
- Support development of business and financing models for grid-scale storage battery manufacturing EV infrastructure and hydrogen hubs.
- Track and analyze policy regulatory and market developments related to power sector reforms energy transition finance and Indias National Green Hydrogen and Critical Minerals Missions.
- Conduct economic modelling and fiscal analysis to support IESAs policy recommendations and advocacy with government and regulators.
- Prepare policy briefs whitepapers and budget commentaries highlighting the economic implications of national and state policies.
- Engage and maintain relationships with ministries (MNRE MoP DPIIT MoHI MoEFCC) regulatory commissions multilateral agencies and industry stakeholders.
- Assist with program implementation consultations and knowledge dissemination through concept notes briefing papers and event documentation.
- Articulate research findings through data-driven presentations visual dashboards and well-structured reports suitable for policy and industry audiences.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Economics Energy Economics Finance Public Policy or related discipline with 3 to 5 years of professional experience in policy regulatory or financial analysis within the power renewable energy EV or green hydrogen sectors.
- Strong understanding of Indias electricity markets regulatory mechanisms and clean-tech financing frameworks.
- Proven expertise in budget evaluation economic impact assessments tariff design investment modelling and financial/economic scenario analysis.
- Experience working with consulting firms think tanks or government agencies in energy and climate domains.
- Demonstrated ability to manage research teams multi-stakeholder projects and government/client relationships.
- Excellent communication and policy-writing skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in data analysis and modelling tools (Excel Power BI econometrics/statistics software).
- Strong analytical strategic thinking and project management capabilities with commitment to research excellence and evidence-based policymaking.
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced interdisciplinary environments involving government industry and academia.
