PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: 42500 - 45000 depending on relevant skills knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Working as part of a centralised People Services team youll be embedded within a Divisional HR team where you will gain an understanding of the challenges and priorities of the Division and provide support which enables them to deliver world class content to our audiences. You will act as a trusted advisor to your business area understanding and supporting delivery of the people strategy but also supporting on a wide range of day to day HR issues and projects. Youll manage stakeholder relationships not only with the business areas but also across the wider HR function drawing on the specialist advice and support from teams such as Reward HR Systems and Data Analytics. We are looking for a senior HR professional to form part of a dynamic job-share with one of our team. You will partner one of the BBCs divisions working with them on their workplace culture plans to meet their immediate and long-term needs and create a lasting legacy at a critical time in the BBCs history.


WHY JOIN THE TEAM
The successful candidate will join the People Services team as an Associate HR Business Partner. As an Associate HR Business Partner youll work closely with Divisional HR Business Partners within our Corporate Functions Divisions specifically supporting our teams such as Finance Procurement Corporate Affairs and Legal to deliver our exciting and ambitious agenda within the BBC.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT:

  • Support the HR Business Partner in developing and implementing solutions aligned to the people strategy to improve organisation effectiveness
  • Work closely with the HR Business Partners to ensure that tools and policies are aligned enhance employee engagement and ultimately improve performance.
  • To ensure collaboration across Specialist Teams/People Services Teams to deliver services and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • To act as a point of escalation for complex queries and requests received by the team ensuring they are either resolved or managed appropriately
  • Participate in projects leading and promoting as appropriate (divisional and/or pan-BBC) the BBCs reputation as a global organisation and employer of choice.
  • Be an ambassador for the function and represent the BBC HR internally and externally (as appropriate).

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • Previous experience of managing / enabling change activity within an organisation (restructuring and reorganisation)
  • Breath of experience across areas such as pay data people practices and development
  • Evidence of working with stakeholders (with client groups contracting for work and a focus on managing expectations)
  • Evidence of working with data (ie employee dates / financial information / engagement results) and ability to draw insight and data stories
  • Examples of supporting continuous improvement and demonstrating curiosity of approach
  • Evidence of a focus on people experience
  • Role model the BBC values
