This position is responsible for leading both personal efforts and collaborating with a broader team to achieve the sales targets of the Engineering Plastics Business Entity (EP) in Vietnam aligned with the countrys sales strategy and plans. The position actively explores and identifies new business opportunities drives growth through acquiring new customers developing new applications and introducing new products.

Major tasks & responsibilities:

  • Target China/Taiwan transplant and customers.

  • Implement sales strategies to drive growth increase market share and enhance profitability in alignment with Covestro EPs short-term and long-term business objectives as defined by the Country Head.

  • Actively listen to and understand the current and future needs of accounts and their value chain partner including their positioning within the industry.

  • Develop strategic account plans (3-5 years) and value propositions aligned with industry application and product strategies. Communicate these plans effectively with internal supportive functions.

  • Play a key role in gathering and consolidating primary market information. Provide relevant market insights on customers competitors and significant factors affecting markets to influence short- and long-term business objectives and to support business planning and decision making.

  • Identify key decision makers withing customer organizations and their value chains. Build maintain and leverage relationships with these stakeholders.

  • Recommend pricing strategies across the value chain to achieve targeted market share and profitability. Implement pricing within approved guidelines provide accurate sales forecasts and manage customer payments.

  • Monitor and manage the sales opportunity pipelines and material specification processes. Track and consolidate customer demand data and coordinate monthly updates and reporting.

  • Share industry insights to support other functions in delivering tailored offerings and value propositions. Coordinate with other functions such as Industry Marketing Application/Product Development Product Management and Innovation to secure resources and align with technical and application development requirements.

Qualification:

  • Bachelors degree in Plastic Engineering Polymer Science Mechanical Engineering or a relevant business discipline.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sales and marketing preferably within the polymer industry.

  • Fluent in Mandarin (spoken and written) with the ability to build strong relationship with middle and senior-level stakeholders.

  • Fluent in English and Vietnamese both spoken and written.

  • Prior experience working with Chinese/Taiwanese businesses preferably in the polymer industry.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement creative sales strategies and plans.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the electronics electrical and appliance industries along with a well established network across these sectors and their associated value chains.

  • Ability to communicate confidently and effectively across various internal and external stakeholder levels.
