Job Description

Salary range is $129k to $237k with a midpoint of $183k. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint however we may go slightly higher based on experience internal equity and market.

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Deputy Director Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOC) Program supporting the Capital Delivery Transformation division provides strategic and operational leadership for Sound Transits multi-billion-dollar planning design and construction program through oversight of multiple Multiple Award Task Order Contracts (MATOCs). This portfolio-level leadership role supports the strategic delivery of Sound Transits major capital programs across multiple project lines ensuring consistent scalable and performance-driven consultant execution. This role manages professional services MATOCs including Environmental Design and Project Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) efforts (with the potential for additional MATOCs as the program grows) ensuring task orders are executed in compliance with agency policies contractual requirements and industry best practices. The Deputy Director builds strong vendor relationships ensures transparent reporting and drives performance that supports the delivery of major regional transit expansion initiatives.

Leadership responsibilities include managing and leading staff this entails training and mentoring creating growth opportunities and assessing performance at the individual and team level. This will include establishing KPIs and other metrics and tools as well as driving capital delivery mission and vision.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in Architecture Contracts and Procurement Construction Management Business Administration Finance Public Administration or related field;Sixyears of progressively responsible experience in program management contract administration procurement or large-scale AEC project delivery; Or an equivalent combination of education and of leadership budgetary planning and workforce management experience.
