What youll be doing
As Senior Tutor (Team Leader) youll play a key role in leading and inspiring both learners and colleagues.
You will work with primary and secondary schools colleges and universities to deliver curriculum-linked activities that will increase students understanding of nature and the environment.
Your day to day will include planning and delivering courses in outdoor field sites to students on science and geography school trips. This will involve leading groups of all abilities in the local environment ensuring you always have the health and safety of the group in mind.
Youll provide leadership and support to junior members of the education team including mentoring coaching and carrying out reviews.
Youll also contribute to resource development support the smooth running of the centre and deputise for the Education Team Leader when required.
This is a very active role some weeks will be long and tiring but our tutors find this work very rewarding and we promise you will too!

Where youll be based
Field Studies Council Nettlecombe Court is a unique and inspiring place to work. Set in a peaceful valley on the edge of Exmoor National Park the house is a striking Tudor and Georgian mansion surrounded by ancient woodland heritage parkland and a nationally important Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Who were looking for
Youll have a degree or equivalent in a relevant subject with some experience in teaching tutoring or delivering outdoor learning. Youll be confident in preparinglearning resources and bringing lessons to life in the field. Experience leading and motivating others is an advantage.
