City Capital are currently representing a highly respected and well-funded REF lender who have retained our services to appoint a cultured and experienced Structured Lending Director to their busy team at an exciting time of growth.

They are renowned for their innovative and bespoke approach supporting property professionals including investors landlords business owners and developers with tailored facilities with loan sizes ranging up to c75million & beyond.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Property Finance you will oversee the origination of new lending enquiries deal structuring credit activity loan syndication/sell down as well as the ongoing management of the borrower relationship & loan facilities.
This is a true cradle to grave role combining oversight of the entire lending cycle with a hands-on delivery approach. This also includes the presentation of loan opportunities to funding partners where applicable.
You will be ably supported throughout all activity by the broader team of lending and funding experts to ensure the best possible results are delivered for clients. It is expected that upon appointment you will agree a lending target to achieve annually.
Responsibilities
Mentor junior team members tracking KPIs and coaching on risk and compliance
Create reports when required suggesting improvements to the wider team
Candidate Requirements
The ideal individual for this role will be highly experienced when funding residential assets for commercial investment finance such as PRS HMO etc...
You will be confident in their capacity to identify and onboard loan enquiries that match the appetite of funding partners.
Due to the end-to-end nature of this role it is critical that you can demonstrate a strong understanding of the credit risk principles that underpin investment finance lending that you will be confident in structuring deals developing credit papers and underwriting enquiries.
Experience in managing a portfolio of funded property finance loans will also be key to support ongoing clients and deals to successful conclusion.
Experience in presenting to funding lines and institutional partners is preferred though not essential.
Highly connected to brokers and borrowers in the UK REF market
Outstanding track record in originations and achievements against lending targets
A strong background in real estate underwriting or credit
Comfortable managing loan completions to drawdown
Strong portfolio stewardship skills with the capacity to identify opps or threats
Excellent verbal and written communication to nurture and negotiate
On Offer
Our client is ideally looking to pay between c80k-100k as a basic salary for the ideal individual which will be relevant to experience. Our client may consider higher basic salary offers where track record and experience determine.
Salary will be complemented by access to our clients favourable bonus structure too which will significantly increase year on year earnings based on the loans you write and ultimate performance to agreed objectives giving the opportunity to earn 150% of salary.
Notably as an agile and growing lender this role also comes with potential to progress career standing and salary forward within where excellent performance is delivered. Our client prefers to promote from within wherever this is possible offering longer term career potential within.
