With Principals who have practiced in Queensland for more than 30 years we bring deep local knowledge and an integrated approach to every project.
We are looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Brisbane office which is located in Fortitude Valley. You will be part of a collaborative experienced team delivering a diverse portfolio of projects from subdivisions and car parks to commercial high-rise education industrial and sporting developments.
The role
As a Senior Civil Engineer you will play a pivotal role in delivering practical future-focused engineering solutions across a diverse project landscape. From early concept through to construction completion you will lead design delivery collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and shape real-world outcomes that enhance the built environment.
This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same blending technical challenge project leadership client engagement and mentorship.
In this role you will:
- Take ownership of civil engineering projects from feasibility to final delivery
- Prepare Civil DA reports and stormwater management plans that balance innovation with compliance
- Design a variety of infrastructure elements including roads intersections pavements earthworks and drainage systems
- Oversee construction phase activities including site inspections contractor coordination and contract administration
- Lead the development of high-quality tender and construction documentation
- Coordinate across internal disciplines and external consultants to deliver fully integrated outcomes
- Manage project budgets and ensure alignment with quality safety and performance standards
You will also:
- Conduct site investigations and technical assessments to shape project strategy
- Review and sign off on design documentation prior to council or authority lodgement
- Act as a key liaison with architects developers contractors and regulatory bodies
- Influence design reviews risk workshops and strategic project planning
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of systems templates and workflows
- Mentor and support junior engineers to grow technical depth and confidence
About you
We are looking for an experienced technically strong and well-rounded engineer with a passion for quality and teamwork.
You will have:
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (essential)
- 10 years of experience in civil engineering design and consultancy
- Strong capability in stormwater flood modelling and pavement design
- Working knowledge of 12D AutoCAD DRAINS MUSIC XPStorm (not essential)
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven ability to manage projects stakeholders and timelines
- Solid knowledge of Australian Standards planning frameworks and engineering codes
- Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- RPEQ registration (or eligibility)
- Must have Australian work rights
- Business development and client liaison experience (advantageous)
- Experience with Queensland based projects will be highly regarded
