CIMIC Group companies Pacific Partnerships CPB Contractors and UGL along with JV Partner John Holland and as part of the Canberra Metro consortium will finance design build and operate the next stage of Canberras world class light rail system Stage 2A from the City to Commonwealth Park.

The Stage 2A catenary free or wireless extension will be delivered under Canberra Metros existing public private partnership (PPP) with the ACT Government.

Key Accountabilities

As the Project Engineer you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of construction works for the Canberra Light Rail project. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of daily site activities ensuring alignment with the projects scope schedule and safety requirements.
  • Providing the construction team with technical advice including the interpretation of drawings specifications and design details.
  • Monitoring and tracking project progress maintaining accurate site records and contributing to weekly progress reports and cost control.
  • Collaborating with subcontractors suppliers and consultants to ensure timely delivery of works to the required quality and safety standards.
  • Promoting and enforcing safety environmental and quality procedures in all on-site activities in line with both project and regulatory requirements

What are we looking for you to bring to the team:

  • A bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Previous site-based experience on major infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies project documentation and

Where applicable evidence of tertiary qualifications and proof of right to work will be required prior to successful appointment.
