Director of Clinical Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned Director of Clinical Engineering to lead a comprehensive healthcare technology management (HTM) program at a major medical facility in Zanesville Ohio. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for managing a large inventory of medical equipment leading a team of supervisors and technicians and driving service excellence across all clinical engineering operations.
What Youll Do:

Provide strategic oversight of the clinical engineering program ensuring alignment with hospital goals and patient care priorities.

Lead mentor and manage a team of technical professionals and supervisors.
-
Ensure timely maintenance calibration and repair of a wide variety of clinical devices.
-
Drive process improvement initiatives to boost operational efficiency regulatory compliance and service quality.
-
Manage departmental budgets vendor relationships and contracts.
-
Monitor adherence to healthcare regulations and accreditation standards (e.g. CIHQ DNV Joint Commission).

Foster collaboration with hospital executives clinical leadership and other key stakeholders.

Promote continuous team development and training within HTM best practices.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

At least 5 years of experience managing biomedical services within a large healthcare system.

Proven ability to engage with executive leadership and align HTM strategy with business goals.

Strong understanding of regulatory standards such as CIHQ DNV and Joint Commission (JCAHO).

Demonstrated experience in budget management strategic planning and contract negotiations.

Track record of building and leading high-performing teams.

Exceptional interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.

Business acumen with a solution-oriented analytical mindset.

Experience in capital planning and clinical technology lifecycle management.
