As a department our purpose is to help the community to prevent prepare for respond to and recover from the impact of fire and emergency events.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is the primary provider of fire rescue and emergency management programs and services throughout Queensland. The department encompasses the Fire and Rescue Service disaster management services the Rural Fire Service and the State Emergency Service and also supports other volunteer groups providing emergency response to Queenslanders.
QFES is one department with many services many capabilities and many partners.
ICT Portfolio Management is responsible for leading and managing the provision of the systematic management of QFES ICT investments governance portfolio projects and assurance activities to support QFES operations and organisational capability. The ICT Project Delivery team is responsible for supporting progress of all ICT projects within QFES including assurance consolidation of project reporting costs management schedule tracking and deliverable outcomes. Ensuring all projects deliver within the QFES project management framework utilising the QFES project delivery templates.
Reporting to the Executive Manager you will be a key member of the team responsible for analysing business needs issues and ICT problems leading stakeholder engagement and working with business partners to review develop and document processes and procedures to achieve business and technology solutions that align with industry best practice and meet the requirements whilst ensuring they are consolidated and consistent across the department.
