Summary of Job Duties:

The IT Support Specialists provides invaluable frontline technical support for the Division of Student Affairs. This position is responsible for troubleshooting maintaining and supporting hardware and software. The role requires strong customer service skills technical proficiency and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment serving a broad university community.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in information technology computer science or related fieldfrom an accredited institution of higher education

OR

• At least two years relevant experience providing technical support in a customer facing role

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to resolve user issues quickly and professionally

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users

• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently and collaboratively

• Ability to create and maintain documentation regarding systems and procedures

• Ability to learn new technologies and methodologies

• Ability to work in a welcoming student-centered environment
