Job Summary
Introduction
Our client a leading Healthcare company based in Durban is looking for a Transplant Organ Procurement Coordinator.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure conversion of potential organ donors to actual organ donors to improve awareness regarding organ donation to medical staff doctors and the public as a whole.
- The fundamental aim of the transplant coordinator/organ procurement officer is to procure organs for the purpose of transplantation.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- General registered nurse practitioner with current registration with SANC.
- 2 5 years post registration experience in ICU.
- Two years experience post registration.
- Critical care/Trauma registration with experience in these areas is recommended.
- Counselling ability including HIV counselling recommended.
- BLS ACLS course recommended.
- Critical care/Trauma with experience recommended.
- BLS ACLS course recommended.
- Valid drivers license and availability to travel at all hours.
- Ability to work extended hours.
- Ability to deal with a high stress level resulting from the emotionally and physically draining nature of the work.
- Computer literacy and digital competence.
