Due to a retirement we are seeking a Lead Officer to join our Talent Management team within HR.

  • Our corporate responsibilities span the employee journey and include recruitment onboarding retention and workforce planning and we play a key role in attracting supporting and developing our young workforce.
  • Our project work has a corporate focus involves extensive partnership working and requires a balance of creativity and attention to detail to ensure work fits with organisation and service needs.
  • Corporately the team play a key role in ensuring legislative compliance. This includes Home Office sponsorship and right to work PVG scheme membership and regulatory body requirements.
  • You will supervise direct and support team members as they carry out their roles.
  • Data and insights drive our work and our approach is evidence-based.

The Person Were Looking For:

As our Lead Officer youll take the lead on complex projects and business as usual work related to resourcing or strategic workforce planning and manage a small team. You must have:

  • A Degree and full membership of a relevant professional institute for example CIPD chartered membership.

  • A proven track record in resourcing and talent management working at an organisational level ideally in a large organisation.

  • Experience in taking the lead on projects while also dealing with a range of other work priorities often linked to legislative requirements.

  • Experience inspiring your team and colleagues to get great results.

  • Good knowledge of relevant legislation and how to put changes into practice.

  • Strong communication skills (both written and spoken) and the confidence to influence and challenge when needed.

  • The ability to build strong relationships at all levels inside and outside the organisation.

  • Excellent digital data and analytical skills plus experience using evidence to shape people solutions.

  • A self-starter attitude with a passion for talent management and making a difference.
