Job Summary
A large well-organised secondary school in Worcesteris appointing a compassionate and structured Attendance & Welfare Officer for January 2026 to strengthen its pastoral team.
The Role
You will be responsible for securing high levels of pupil attendance working closely with Heads of Year safeguarding leads and external agencies. Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality
- Conducting first-day absence calls and home visits (with another staff member)
- Creating attendance action plans with students and families
- Working with EWO services and reporting to SLT
- Producing attendance data and supporting termly reports
- Delivering attendance interventions and pastoral meetings
