Our Family and Child Connect program is a free service for all families and were looking for an inspired trauma-informed and experienced leader. Youll guide our amazing staff to support carers who have a range of family and parenting challenges to:

  • build better family relationships
  • manage their child orteenagers behaviour
  • stop any violence at home
  • budget and manage money
  • address alcohol drug or gambling problems
  • access housing health care or access to other community or government services

In this full-time maximum term role (through to end of December 2026 with potential for extension) based in Mount Isa (with travel as detailed below) youll lead our team of practitioners in the Family and Child Connect Program. As part of our Queensland Programs team youll report to the Regional Manager.

Youre active creative and flexible in your approach to working with families and children using a trauma-informed strengths-based and culturally sensitive framework within communities and when working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. You have the ability to develop and maintain partnerships with external organisations at all levels and you can supervise coach and mentor others with an empathetic approach.
