We are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Administratorto join our team delivering exceptional customer service and innovative operational solutions across Area Region. Working Hours & Location
- Location: Derby
- Hours of work 40 hours per week
- Salary: Up to 35000
About the Role
Responsibilities - but not limited to:
- Working alongside the Senior Commercial Analysts (QS) Ensuring proper contractual administration of contract/project assigned including value and cost control and maintenance of contemporaneous records
- Accurately value works undertaken and where necessary provide records to substantiate cost to allow prompt issue of application for payment/invoice in line with contractual timescales
- Ensure change control process is managed effectively including production of early warnings/variations maximising entitlement
- Preparation of financial statements in respect to projects/contracts assigned working with operational teams to confirm understanding of financial position proactively instilling commercial awareness throughout the wider business.
- Accepts extra duties as situations arise.
Experience and qualifications required for the role:
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment where attention to detail is crucial
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work in a team
- Advanced Excel skills essential
- Previous experience and knowledge of utilities
We are looking for a candidate who is looking to enhance their career within a Commercial environment. The role would be suited to a candidate who has strong advanced Excel skills and comes with a Financial background. If you have studied Quantity Surveying or have worked in a Commercial Department this would be advantageous.
