Job Summary
As a Pub Finance Assistant you will be working on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months within a hybrid working environment (50% office/50% home working) within a great team in our Finance Centre of Excellence. Your role will have responsibility for reconciliations of revenue and banking across our Managed pub estate of approximately 1650 pubs. You will also support day-to-day queries ensuring bank and revenue reconciliations are completed on time. Working as part of a large team and reporting to the Pub Finance & Expenses Team Lead you will produce timely and accurate reports and be the first line of support for financial queries from our pubs and hotels.
Qualifications :
Your role as Pub Finance Assistant:
- Reconciliation of revenue and banking
- Reconciliation and verification of House expenditure claims
- Compliance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations on VAT
- First line of support for House Managers with systems/financial queries
- Ensuring House Manager compliance with the appropriate company policies & procedures
What youll bring:
- A keen interest in progressing a career within finance/accounts (no prior finance experience is essential for this role but could be advantageous)
- The ability to use Excel to an intermediate level
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Proactive approach to identifying solutions to problems
- Consistently deliver on commitments despite challenging timescales and competing priorities
