Behavior Specialist needed at the District Campus
Student Advocacy Supervisor Terms of Employment: 183.5 days (optional 10 extra service days)
40 hours per week/full-time (with the opportunity for 30 hours/week if needed).
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the SAS Supervisor the Behavior Specialist will be responsible for helping to create and implement district wide Multi-Tiered Systems of Support for Behavior that are consistent with Ogden School Districts vision mission and values and OSDs strategic plan priorities and goals.
Essential Functions:
- Train and coach school-based Tier 2 Child Assistance Teams (CHAT) Tier 2
- Coach and support tiered behavior interventions
- Create train and coach district-wide social skills implementation
- Lead district efforts to support threat assessments disciplinary systems and restorative practices
- Assist in the implementation of grant initiatives related to Student Advocacy Services
- Communicate processes to key stakeholders for systems creation and review
- Provide Professional Development to various groups to expand the knowledge of district behavioral systems
- Engage in observation and feedback cycles regarding student support plans
- Attend workshops to maintain current knowledge of new legislation and student advocacy service requirements
- Actively maintain or improve the external and internal image of the District its divisions and its schools Establish annual objectives as deemed appropriate by the supervisor
- Prepare and submit reports presentations and Board agenda items as required
- Respond to inquiries or concerns in a timely manner

Education:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
- Professional teaching certification and state licensure from the Utah State Board of Education
- Masters Degree (preferred) from an accredited institution (education related field preferred)
- Minimum of three years successful experience in education or related services field (preferred)
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Preferred or behavior system experience
