Position: Head Varsity Baseball Coach

Location: Monroe High School
Reports To: Athletic Director / Building Principal

Position Summary

Monroe High School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Head Varsity Baseball Coach to lead our baseball program in accordance with MHSAA rules and district policies. The ideal candidate will bring proven coaching experience strong leadership skills and a commitment to fostering athletic excellence academic achievement and positive sportsmanship.

Qualifications

Prior baseball coaching experience at the high school or higher level is highly preferred.
Demonstrated ability to organize teach and develop baseball fundamentals and advanced strategies.
Proven success in building and leading an effective coaching staff.
Ability to inspire competitive spirit while promoting teamwork discipline and good sportsmanship.
Commitment to enforcing all MHSAA rules and school district codes of conduct.
Dedication to setting and maintaining high standards of academic achievement for all student-athletes.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with administrators teachers staff parents and the community.

Responsibilities

Lead the Varsity Baseball program while overseeing the development of lower-level teams.
Plan and conduct effective practices that teach fundamentals strategy and teamwork.
Mentor and supervise assistant coaches.
Promote an inclusive safe and supportive environment for student-athletes.
Ensure compliance with all MHSAA district and league regulations.
Model positive behavior sportsmanship and professionalism on and off the field.
Communicate effectively with players families staff and the athletic department.

Additional Information

This is a seasonal stipend position in accordance with the Monroe Public Schools coaches contract.
All candidates must meet MHSAA coaching requirements and complete any required certifications/training before the start of the season.
