Job Description
Mullins Mechanicalis a leader in industrial and large commercial mechanical plumbing and HVAC construction projects are often in the industrial and manufacturing environments such as commercial industrial and manufacturing facilities automotive plants chemical plants distribution centers warehouses and other large industrial facilities. We are a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications HVAC systems plumbing process piping systems boiler and chiller systems equipment installation and rigging plant relocation and maintenance and metal fabrication.
We are looking for a highly skilled and experiencedBIM Lead to join our team in Carrollton GA. As a BIM Lead you will be responsible for managing the implementation and execution of BIM processes and Revit models on a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of BIM methodologies proficiency in Revit and the ability to lead and mentor a team of VDC/BIM professionals.
Responsibilities:
BIM Management:
- Develop implement and manage BIM execution plans and standards.
- Oversee the creation development and maintenance of Revit models throughout project lifecycles.
- Ensure BIM deliverables meet project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop implement and manage project schedule and team productivity.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of BIM coordinators modelers and other related staff.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to enhance team skills in Revit and BIM processes.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with Mullins Mechanical project teams architects engineers general contractors and other stakeholders to integrate BIM into project workflows.
- Coordinate with external consultants and contractors to align BIM efforts.
- Facilitate clash detection and resolution using Revit and other BIM tools.
- Attend Daily or weekly client and internal meetings.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular model reviews and audits to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Implement quality control procedures and address any issues that arise.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare and present BIM progress reports and documentation to project stakeholders.
- Maintain thorough records of BIM activities and project data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Architecture Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of professional experience in BIM management and Revit modeling.
- Advanced skills in the use of Navisworks software for clash detection and 4D simulation purposes.
- Advanced skills in the use of BIM 360 (BIM Collaboration).
- Proficiency in the use of Revit and AutoCAD to validate information and navigate models.
- Experience with additional BIM software like Revit CAD Dynamo BIM 360 or similar preferred.
- Strong understanding of BIM standards protocols and industry best practices.
- Experience in drafting and modeling mechanical systems such as Piping HVAC Fire protection and Skids preferred.
- Ability to make decisions control the progress of the coordination process and use available hours efficiently.
- The ideal candidate will be highly organized detail-oriented hardworking and can effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They will also possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all organizational levels.
