Description
We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the North Browning area. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality eye care services. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse ophthalmology projects and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced medical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions.
- Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery LASIK and corneal transplants.
- Prescribe medications and provide post-operative care instructions to patients.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients on eye health disease prevention and treatment options.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate best practices into clinical practice.
Requirements:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid MD license.
- Specialization or fellowship training in Ophthalmology.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to perform ophthalmic procedures independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical software.
- Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards in medical practice.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p
Patient Census: 12 per shift
Must be board-certified
