Description

We are currently seeking an Entry-Level Locum MD (Medical Doctor) specializing in this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the North Browning area. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and supporting the healthcare team in delivering high-quality eye care services. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse ophthalmology projects and gain valuable experience in a fast-paced medical environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to diagnose and treat various eye conditions.
  • Perform surgical procedures such as cataract surgery LASIK and corneal transplants.
  • Prescribe medications and provide post-operative care instructions to patients.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Educate patients on eye health disease prevention and treatment options.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and treatment strategies.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology and incorporate best practices into clinical practice.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and valid MD license.
  • Specialization or fellowship training in Ophthalmology.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to perform ophthalmic procedures independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMR) systems and medical software.
  • Willingness to adhere to ethical and professional standards in medical practice.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-5p

Patient Census: 12 per shift

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
