We are currently seeking a Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Medical this role you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Beaufort. Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of various oncology projects.
As a Locum MD or DO in Medical Oncology you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of cases collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and make a significant impact on the well-being of cancer patients. This position is vital in ensuring continuity of care maintaining medical standards and supporting the overall healthcare system.
Responsibilities:
- Provide temporary medical coverage for oncology patients in various settings.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with oncologists nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Monitor patient progress adjust treatment regimens and ensure optimal outcomes.
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records.
- Participate in medical rounds case conferences and educational activities.
- Adhere to medical protocols safety standards and ethical guidelines.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and their families throughout the treatment process.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Medical Oncology.
- Prior experience working as a locum physician or in oncology settings.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of cancer treatments and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: 8a-5p 3-4 days per week
Patient Census: 7-15 per day
General medical oncology caseload
Support Staff: APP
No APP supervision required
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
