Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Cockpit Operation engineer (f/m) to join our Cockpit Functions & Operations group based in Toulouse France.
You will be part of a team in charge of defining developing and validating cockpit functions in order to increase flight safety and efficiency whilst proposing new services for our customers flight operations.. As part of the Cockpit Functions & Operation Team in Airbus System Engineering Toulouse you will be involved in
Definition of future cockpit concepts and related operational concepts to a make step change in flight safety and pave the way to smart automation
Definition and Improvements of cockpit functions to provide increased safety adapt to the Operations Context evolutions or provide operational benefits for our customers
Verification and validation of these functions with pilots on various tests means

Your challenges:
To coordinate need analysis in close interaction with end users (test pilots training pilots airline representatives)
To produce operational scenarios and concepts at function level
To contribute to the functional analysis (operational part) in close cooperation with: system designers on one side end-user on the other side all in close collaboration with human factor team.
To ensure operational validation with various user panels at design level or product level in coordination with Human Factor team and feedback the outcome on design if required.
To do so :
You will be integrated in several Multi-Systems function and/or systems teams working on different topics at different stage of the development (either at early feasibility study level or as part of launched development) for different programmes (R&T MPP SA LR A350 ).
You will have to coordinate transverse activities (including operational evaluations) with system designers Human Factors laboratory and flight tests teams.
You will apply dedicated User Centric Methods to perform need analysis and evaluation and support the design phase thanks to prototypes or models developed in the frame MBSE.
Your boarding pass:
As the successful candidate you will have to rely on the following skills:
Relevant engineering or technical degree
Ability to understand Airspace actors business drivers and user needs
Interest and ability in finding creative solutions to answer those needs
Desire to work in a multi-actors environment with a strong technical focus
Good communication skills
Negotiation level of English (French would be an advantage)
Some background experience would be a plus without being a pre-requisite:
Knowledge of Air Traffic Management and Flight Operations
Experience in System Engineering
Experience in Project Management.
Concept of operation definitions
Private pilot license would be a real plus
