Description

The University of Southern Maines Office of Educator Preparation in the School of Education and Human Development is seeking a Coordinator of Educator Preparation and Outreach.

The Coordinator of Educator Preparation and Outreachwill be responsible for:

  • Supports activities related to the approval and accreditation of educational licensure programs (initial and advanced) within the Office of Educator Preparation (OEP).
  • Oversees and manages the operating budget for OEP inclusive of compiling fiscal projections and reports.
  • Manages payment processes and policies related to payment of supervisors and mentors.
  • Responds to and awards contact hour awards for host teachers mentor teachers and supervisors.
  • Oversees and manages Education Affiliation Agreements with districts and clinical placement sites and works collaboratively with faculty and staff to manage outreach activities of the School of Education and Human Development.
  • Responsibility for managing academic and non-credit initiatives and outreach activities such as cohorts courses workshops events and conferences designed to meet the needs of the P-12 education community and responds to and awards contact hours for participation in activities as appropriate.
  • Develops and maintains external and internal-facing websites for stakeholders to access resources and marketing materials.
  • Travel while not extensive is required within the State of Maine.

The Office of Educator Preparation (OEP)at the University of Southern Maine plays a central role in overseeing managing and ensuring the quality of USMs educator preparation programs. OEP builds and provides unit-wide infrastructure for field placement coordination certification recommendations data management (TK20) accreditation and program review.

This a full-time position to be located on our Gorham Campus with a starting annual salary of $44000.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree with at least 3 years of experience leading outreach or teaching education programs and/or projects or a Masters degree.
  • Experience with communication via virtual technology (Zoom Google Meet).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google suite.
  • Experience with budgets and use of spreadsheets to display and organize data.
