POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Facilities Housekeeping and Transportation is responsible for planning organizing and directing the daily operations of maintenance renovations landscaping housekeeping laundry and transportation. The successful candidate will approach this role from multiple perspectives: hospitality safety efficiency and compliance. This role interacts daily with residents requiring tact clarity and respect in those daily interactions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for but not limited to the following essential duties and responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Develop and maintain a culture of excellence in customer service in your departments support of residents and staff.
  • Communicate coordinate with and engage residents in a friendly manner while ensuring resident requests are responded to in a manner that is consistent with the organizations policies and practices.
  • Support technology innovations and related changes in workflow.
  • Directly manage 3 supervisory positions (Facilities Manager Renovations& Transportation Supervisor Housekeeping Manager) and their respective teams.
  • Develop and support a team that is respectful honest hard-working with a culture of pride in their work.
  • Manage resources and lead team in a way that achieves budgetary and productivity goals and in support of the organizations strategic goals.
  • Maintain the departments budget and ensure fiscally responsibility in accordance with the budget and financial policies.
  • Hire onboard train coach schedule and evaluate staff.
  • Ensure the physical property and processes are maintained in an inspection ready status and ensure compliance with Fire & Life Safety Infection Control Transportation and other applicable regulations.
  • Ensure an effective preventative maintenance program is in place and adhered to.
  • Ensure that the building and grounds are clean and well maintained for a positive first impression with excellent curb appeal.
  • Manage quarterly priorities and employee performance utilizing the management tool EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System).
  • Ensure your Departments maintain sufficient tools supplies and equipment to safely and effectively meet departmental expectations.
  • Communicate and coordinate regularly with other departments to ensure maximum plant operations with minimal disruption to staff and residents.
  • Plan and execute projects to timely completion.
  • Be available on-call or designate an on-call manager for any after-hours emergencies.
  • Ensure that the work of outside contractors is approved and supervised.

Training:

  • Ensure staff participation in recurring staff training and yearly evacuation plans and other drills.
  • Participate in regular safety meetings safety training and hazard assessments.
  • Provide and/or arrange training so that staff embrace and utilize technology innovations and changes to their workflow.
  • Attend conferences related to senior living facilities management infection control and other applicable topics to keep abreast of best practices in the field.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of related work experience in senior living or hospitality.
  • Bachelors Degree or extensive training in Facilities Management Infection Control and/or Hospitality.
  • Experience with licensing and/or regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable using computer for daily tasks; strong familiarity with Microsoft Office including Word Outlook and Excel.
  • Speak and comprehend English.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

  • Generally in an indoor setting.
  • Supervise activities and events outdoors. May be exposed to heat/cold during support of outside activities.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Position requires ability to work nights weekends and some holidays.
