Job Description

Regional Operations Manager

The Regional Operations Manager (ROM) is responsible for leading and overseeing the operational performance of multiple branches within a designated territory. This role ensures consistent delivery of exceptional customer service operational efficiency and cost management. The ROM drives the implementation and sustainability of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) rooted in LEAN principles to optimize processes and improve service outcomes. Success in this role requires strong leadership strategic thinking and time management skills with a focus on operational excellence and customer-centric service delivery.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute regional initiatives and growth plans for each region in collaboration with the Regional Sales Manager.â
  • Provide strategic and tactical direction and support to locations within region by various source of communication and regular onsite visits.â
  • Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to support the sales growth of the company.â
  • Support locations by assisting in identifying short- and long-term solutions and sharing successful methodology across each branch.ââ
  • Build and develop a high performing team of leaders and branch managers capable of executing the work at a high level and ensure an exceptional service is provided at each branch within the assigned territory.â
  • Assure all branches meet the established goals and the requirements in order to perform and function effectively.ââ
  • The ability to create a cohesive work environment and maintain company culture.â
  • The ability to create the guidelines for his/her team to follow and be able to hold them accountable.â
  • Collaborate with team to create and implement SOPs in all functional operations systems and processes.â
  • Effectively lead and guide to build organizational teams on our core values of Family Integrity Improvement Respect and Partnership.â
  • Establishing best in class operational proficiencies and cost structure utilizing industry benchmarks from CTDA or other distribution surveys as a guide. Metrics should include activities such as transaction rates/FTE sales/gm $/FTE inventory cycle count accuracy space utilization etc.â
  • P&L with emphasis on SG&A cost containment and delivery of stated goals of financial ratio benchmarks. Participates in regular P&L reviews to ensure budgets and expenses are met.â
  • Learn and assimilate LEAN and 5-S principles through all operational processes.â
  • Establish budgets and objectives and operate within policy guidelinesâ
  • Utilize information and technology impacting distribution to increase innovation and ensure continual improvement throughout the Operations.â
  • Develops and executes project delivery strategies overlaying and adhering to best in management and disciplined processes to achieve profit plan drive internal execution resource alignment and provide unique customer experience.â
  • Supports the efforts for opportunities committed to customer satisfaction and overall success of each branch performance.ââ
  • Assure compliance and continuity to all processes procedures facility and equipment maintenance and inventory control.â
  • Establish and adhere to best practices and associated metrics.ââ
  • Talent Management & Human Resource functions including talent and performance assessment recruitment hiring practices talent development and corrective action.ââ
  • Establish quarterly schedule/cadence of branch visits and branch meetings.â
  • Provide monthly and quarterly operations performance report to Director of Operations and VP/GM.â

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BS/BA degree preferred.â
  • Experience in DANCIK ERP system preferred but not required.â
  • 5 years of experience in a wide variety of distribution operations management inventory management planning and manufacturing positions.â
  • 3 or more years of managing people in various locations at the same time.â
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.â
  • Strategic and tactical thinking abilities.ââ
  • Excellent oral and written communication.â
  • Positive attitude and engagement with customersanddirect reports and internal employees.â
  • Good timemanagement skills.â
  • Adherence to all company policies and procedures.â
  • Ability to work andoperateindependently and take initiative.ââ
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.â
  • Application of common sense logic & reasoning.â
  • Maintain professional appearance and behavior at all times.â
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.â
  • Strong problem-solving skills.â
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.â
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with employees.â
  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary.ââ
  • Must pass mandatory pre-employment drug test physical and criminal background check.â

  • You will be expected to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.â
  • Bending crouching pushing and pulling maybe required depending on branch needs frequently.
