Elementary Assistant Volleyball Coach

SUMMARY: Serve as an assistant coach of an elementary athletic sport following Laramie County School District #1 guidelines; provide supervision of student athletes during their participation in the program; use sound instructional techniques; and serve as a positive role model to student athletes.

EDUCATION AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Musthave a high school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous coaching or participation experience in the sport preferred.
  
  

LICENSES REGISTRATIONS or CERTIFICATIONS:

• Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance.

TECHNICAL SKILLS KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:

• Scheduling organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate sportsmanship with all athletes parents and community members.

• Basic knowledge of the sport.

• Written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.

• Ability to maintain honesty and integrity in all aspects of the job.

• Ability and willingness to adhere to attendance requirements including regular and punctual employee presence.

• Ability to promote and follow Board of Trustees policies District policies and building and department procedures.

• Ability to communicate interact and work effectively and cooperatively with all people including those from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

• Ability to recognize the importance of safety in the workplace follow safety rules practice safe work habits utilize appropriate/required safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.

• Act as a positive role model and representative of the school and LCSD#1.

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT OPERATING KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of sport equipment to provide proper maintenance and storage.

• Knowledge of sport equipment to ensure proper use and safety of student athletes.

• Responsible for supervising the behavior and well-being of students in the program.
