COMMUNICATION MANAGER Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) to join the Policy & Communication vertical working closely with J-PALs team. The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (J-PAL) is a center at MIT with affiliated professors who conduct randomized evaluations of social policies aimed at poverty reduction. J-PALs three core activities are research training and policy and addition to the Global Office at MIT J-PAL has seven regional offices: Africa Europe Latin America and the Caribbean MENA North America South Asia and Southeast Asia. Will provide organization-wide leadership on digital communications strategy and delivery brand management and media relations.
Job Requirements
REQUIRED: Masters degree preferably in Communications for Development Communications or Journalism; Bachelors degree in Economics International Development Public Policy Communications or related field; solid understanding of global development and/or social and economic issues and practice; and 6 or more years of experience managing digital communications preferably for a non-profit and/or in the field of development; and proven ability to keep an organizations digital communications responsive and on message.
