Project Overview:
Our client is currently facing challenges related to outdated processes documentation and team stability. The project aims to stabilize daily operations facilitate knowledge transfer and drive process improvements to support ongoing growth. To ensure business continuity and acting as first line of defense for the core accounting group your involvement in the project will be carried out as an independent subcontractor.

Salary: Starts at 6000 JPY/hour
Scope of Services
- Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger accounts payable/receivable fixed assets treasury intercompany transactions travel & expense and payroll.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end closings including preparation and submission of financial statements and reports.
- Apply current accounting standards (IFRS JGAAP) across all reporting and ensure compliance.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Assess and recommend improvements to accounting processes including workflow optimization and system integration.
- Lead and manage a team of accounting staff fostering performance and stability in a dynamic environment.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between outgoing and incoming managers ensuring continuity and process improvement.
Qualifications
- Accounting Qualification: CPA ACCA or similar credentials required.
- Luxury/Retail Industry Experience: Prior work in luxury goods or retail sectors preferred.
- Financial Operations Proficiency: Solid background in financial reporting budgeting and audit support.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles financial reporting and internal controls.
- Proficiency in finance software and ERP systems (SAP required).
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage and motivate an accounting team.
- Communication Abilities: Strong skills in conveying financial concepts and resolving issues with various stakeholders.
