A well-regarded secondary school in Dorset is seeking a motivated Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Art to join their thriving department from January. This is a fantastic opportunity for a new teacher to inspire creativity and imagination while developing professionally in a nurturing environment.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position starting in January. You will be teaching Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 with the potential to support GCSE and A-Level groups as your experience grows. As an Art ECT you will be guided through a comprehensive induction programme supported by an experienced mentor and given regular opportunities for professional development. You will also be encouraged to contribute to the schools cultural life by leading art clubs exhibitions and creative projects.

About the School

The school is a popular and inclusive secondary with approximately 1000 students on roll. Known for its strong academic standards and supportive ethos it provides a welcoming environment for both staff and pupils. The Art department is well-resourced with specialist classrooms studio spaces and digital facilities enabling a broad and inspiring curriculum. The department is collaborative with colleagues eager to support Early Career Teachers in building confidence and refining their teaching practice.

We are looking for someone who:

Is an Early Career Teacher (ECT) of Art with a relevant degree

Holds or is working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has the passion to inspire students through engaging and creative lessons

Is committed to delivering high-quality differentiated teaching across KS3 and KS4

Is willing to contribute to the wider life of the school including extracurricular clubs and exhibitions
